A Little Bit of Information about Flying Diamond Airpark, Sahuarita, Arizona,
Flying Diamond Airpark is a unique fenced and GATED community blending plane and horse owners in what is fast becoming a “Green Park” for custom homes. Located in the Sierrita Mountain Foothills, the Airpark is bordered by State and Federal Land on several sides so one experiences a sense of wide open spaces. The area is excellent for off-roading, mountain biking, horseback riding or hiking. The rolling topography and lush vegetation along with the solitude and wildlife (deer, rabbits, chipmunks and a vast assortment of birds,) are true treasures in nurturing a quality lifestyle.

The small town atmosphere of nearby Sahuarita (10 miles) and Green Valley, Az (12 miles) is a breath of fresh air from the congestion and traffic problems of Tucson; yet from the Flying Diamond Airpark it is less than a 1/2 hour drive to the Tucson Airport or downtown Tucson. There is plenty of shopping, medical services, entertainment and restaurants nearby. Next year there will be ground breaking for a 300 million dollar medical complex and hospital in Sahuarita. If you don’t mind a well maintained dirt road, it’s a great place to live!

To the south of the airpark there is Tubac, an artsy community, and little farther south is Nogales which borders with Mexico. Not much farther south in Mexico is the Pacific beach community of Rocky Point. To the north is Tucson with a population of over a million people, So with a little drive you are able to experience just about anything that might be lacking in Sahuarita.

The Sahuarita School District is ranked one of the best in Arizona. Even though The Flying Diamond Airpark is not in the town limits, it is still served by Sahuarita Schools.

The altitude is 3800 feet so it is a little cooler in the summer and we have been known to get snow that actually stays for a few days during the winter. We are also blessed to have around 330 days of sunshine! This is a great property if you are looking for Vacant land in Arizona with paved Airstrip access!
